Pakistan to Experience Three Spells of Rain in December: Meteorological Forecast

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily)According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the country is expected to experience three spells of intermittent rainfall throughout December. Dr. Irfan Wark, Deputy Director of Weather Forecasting, shared this information in an exclusive interview with Samaa News. He stated that the first spell of rain will begin in the next 3-4 days, bringing rain to various regions of the country.

The areas likely to receive rainfall include Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. Additionally, some parts of northeastern Punjab and southern Punjab are also expected to see rain. Islamabad and Rawalpindi are likely to witness showers as well, which will further intensify the cold weather.

Dr. Irfan Wark also mentioned that a second spell of rain will begin around mid-December. However, the exact intensity and duration of the rains towards the end of the month are still uncertain.

On the other hand, the weather is expected to remain cold and dry in Islamabad and its surrounding areas today. Dense fog will persist in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Hafizabad, and Narowal, as well as in Gujranwala, Gujarat, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, and Faisalabad. The Met Office also forecasted foggy conditions for Okara, Jhang, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rahim Yar Khan.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry and cold weather is expected, with severe cold anticipated in the northern districts. In Sindh, most areas are likely to experience dry weather, while dense fog and smog may cover Sukkur, Kashmore, and Jacobabad. Similarly, dry and cold weather is expected in most parts of Balochistan.
