Pakistan Sets New Record in T20I Victory Against New Zealand

In an impressive display of batting, the Pakistan cricket team set a new record during the third T20I against New Zealand on Friday. Pakistan defeated the hosts by 9 wickets, securing a commanding victory in the 5-match T20 series.

Chasing a target of 205 runs set by New Zealand, Pakistan completed the task in just 16 overs, thanks to a brilliant century by Hassan Nawaz. Opener Mohammad Haris contributed with 41 runs before getting out, while Hassan Nawaz dominated the Kiwi attack, scoring a remarkable century off 44 balls. Captain Salman Ali Agha also played a key role, adding 51 runs off 31 balls to help Pakistan reach the target.

Hassan Nawaz’s stunning century not only guided Pakistan to victory but also broke the record for the fastest T20I century by a Pakistani player, previously held by Babar Azam.

Moreover, in pursuit of New Zealand’s 205-run target, Pakistan set another new record in T20I history. During the powerplay, Pakistan scored a record-breaking 75 runs, the highest ever for Pakistan in the first six overs of a T20I. This remarkable performance marked a new milestone for the Green Shirts in T20I cricket.
