Quetta:The President of the Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association at Sool Hospital, Quetta, Haji Muhammad Shafa Mengal, along with General Secretary Haji Sahib Jan Kakar and other officials, expressed their concerns in a statement regarding the provincial government’s plan to relocate the trauma center from Sool Hospital to another location. They emphasized that while they appreciate the government’s attention towards improving facilities, they will not allow the definitive relocation of the trauma and emergency center from Sool Hospital.
In their issued statement, the responsible members of the Paramedical Staff Association highlighted that in emergency situations, people from far-flung areas of Balochistan turn towards the Trauma Center in Quetta. Under the leadership of Dr. Arbab Kamran Kasi, Director of Trauma Center, the team at Sool Hospital consistently provides excellent emergency services. They stated that during any incident, doctors and nurses from Sool Hospital promptly support the emergency services of the Trauma Center.
Furthermore, the Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association asserted that Sool Hospital maintains complete cooperation with the Trauma Center in Quetta during any emergency, which is a promising initiative for the people of Balochistan. They underlined that no other emergency facilities similar to those at Trauma Center Quetta can be established in any corner of Balochistan, hence they refuse any relocation attempts.
Additionally, the association called upon the Chief Minister of Balochistan to establish trauma centers in all major cities of the province and construct four additional modern trauma centers in Quetta, ensuring immediate medical facilities for emergencies. They assured the public that members of the Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association are committed to providing medical facilities to the people of Balochistan without any compromise and continue to extend their services under the supervision of the Health Department’s senior stakeholders.
