Pakistan Launches “Respect the Flag” Campaign Against Attack on Embassy in Germany
Islamabad: Following the assault by agitated demonstrators on the Pakistani embassy in Germany and the removal of the national flag, members of the federal cabinet have initiated the “Respect the Flag” campaign.
Federal ministers released images of the Pakistani flag on social media, accompanied by messages of affection towards the national emblem. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, along with federal ministers Sardar Ovais Leghari, Abdul Aleem Khan, Rana Tanveer, and Attaullah Tarar, were among those who shared images with the national flag.
Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, posted a picture on social media with the caption: “May the bright star of the crescent moon continue to shine, may this flag of ours always remain the highest. A clear message to Pakistan’s enemies.”
Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Ali Pervez Malik, and Jamal Kamal Khan also shared pictures with the national flag and messages of “Long Live Pakistan.”
In his message, Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, urged political workers, journalists, scholars, professors, lawyers, doctors, farmers, laborers, students, and business leaders, both within and outside Pakistan, to participate in the “Respect the Flag” campaign. He emphasized that the Pakistani flag is a symbol of national identity and sovereignty.
Attaullah Tarar stated that the Pakistani flag represents the unity and solidarity of the nation, and since August marks Pakistan’s Independence Month, the “Respect the Flag” campaign will continue unabated. Respecting the flag is a national responsibility and every Pakistani’s duty to uphold.
It is evident that the federal ministers’ “Respect the Flag” campaign is receiving widespread support on social media.
