Nokandi:In Zahedan, Sistan Balochistan, the 11th high-level meeting of the Pakistan-Iran Border Trade Committee convened, marking significant progress towards bilateral border trade. Led by Pakistan’s Customs Collector of Gwadar, Irfan Javed, and Iran’s Director General of Iranian Industries and Trade Organization, Irj Hassanpour, the session addressed mutual interests in trade, transportation, fisheries, mining, and other sectors.
Key discussions included Pakistan’s exports and Iran’s commitment to facilitate rail-based LPG business. The Pakistani delegation highlighted challenges at Mashkel Crossing Point, requesting improved gas, electricity, internet, and telephone services, with Iranian assurance of a visit within a month for assessment.
Both sides also agreed to enhance cooperation on restoring road infrastructure and agreed upon measures to boost bilateral economic ties.
