Pakistan, India DGsMO Hold Contact to Normalize Military Positions

Islamabad:A fresh round of communication has taken place between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGsMO) of Pakistan and India, aimed at de-escalating tensions along the border and restoring peacetime military positions.
According to sources, the contact occurred on Monday, with both sides discussing the return of their armed forces to routine positions as part of the next phase of the ceasefire agreement.
This development follows heightened military alertness in recent weeks, triggered by acts of aggression from the Indian side that had brought both militaries face to face along the Line of Control (LoC).
Sources added that this latest communication marks the third official DGsMO contact since the ceasefire was reaffirmed between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. Previous interactions also took place via the established military hotline, showing a mutual willingness to reduce tensions and avoid further conflict escalation.
Observers view this ongoing dialogue as a critical step in maintaining stability and preventing unintended military engagements in the region.
