Pakistan Faces Threat from Internal Enemies, Not External: Mahmood Khan Achakzai
Islamabad:Mahmood Khan Achakzai, leader of the opposition alliance “Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aaeen Pakistan,” has stated that Pakistan’s greatest threats come from internal enemies rather than external ones. Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad alongside Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Achakzai emphasized the critical need for constitutional reforms in the country.
Achakzai revealed that a conference scheduled for August 14 could not take place due to the busy schedules of various leaders across different cities. He reiterated the alliance’s commitment to restoring the constitution and announced the inclusion of a party from Sindh in their movement. He also mentioned plans to visit Sindh soon.
Highlighting the issues of corruption and lack of progress over the past seventy years, Achakzai criticized the failure to provide free education and the infiltration of corruption into political parties. He called for the establishment of a new, democratic Pakistan where everyone’s rights are upheld and sectarianism is eradicated.
Achakzai described the formation of Pakistan as a miracle and stressed the need for a wise and renewed approach to governance. He emphasized that freedom is humanity’s greatest blessing, and that leaders must honor their commitments to ensure the country’s prosperity.
On the same occasion, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas highlighted that August 14, while celebrated as Pakistan’s Independence Day, still witnesses a lack of constitutional and legal framework, which contributes to the prevailing issues in the country.
