Pakistan Celebrates Pakistan Day with National Zeal and Pride
Islamabad:Pakistan is celebrating Pakistan Day today with great national fervor and enthusiasm. The day began with a traditional salute from cannon fire, marking the significance of the occasion.
According to reports, the nation is observing the day with patriotism, while a solemn ceremony took place at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal, the poet of the East, where the changing of the guards took place with due respect.
The Pakistan Day parade will be held at the President’s House, with rehearsals conducted earlier for the aerial flypast by the Pakistan Air Force fighter jets. The parade will be attended by foreign diplomats, senior civil and military officials.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif both extended their greetings to the nation on this auspicious day. President Zardari praised the bravery of the armed forces, stating that they are making significant sacrifices to defend the motherland.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remarked that in just one year, Pakistan’s economy has been steered towards sustainable growth. He emphasized that national unity is key to achieving economic prosperity and expressed his respect for the martyrs who have laid down their lives for the country’s defense.
