Quetta:In the inaugural meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior Affairs on Monday, Secretary Interior Aftab Durrani revealed that the Pakistan Army has assumed responsibility for four major projects in addition to CPEC security. Following the general elections slated for 2024, Secretary Durrani informed the committee members about these projects, including Diamer Bhasha and Dasu. He highlighted ongoing challenges in internal security due to threats, with prompt responses from IB, ISI alerts as per Ministry of Interior’s requests. National Assembly’s standing committee for interior’s first meeting held on Monday, chaired by Khusro Shahbaz, was attended by all the important institutions and agencies’ representatives from the Ministry of Interior.
