Pakistan Announces 4,500 Scholarships for Afghan Students to Strengthen Regional Cooperation

Islamabad:In a significant move to promote regional development and foster closer ties with its neighbor, Pakistan has announced 4,500 fully-funded scholarships for Afghan students. The announcement was made by Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq.
These scholarships will be offered to Afghan students in various fields including medicine, engineering, agriculture, and higher education, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Afghan youth and their role in the socio-economic development of their country.
The scholarships will be available for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs, further showcasing Pakistan’s long-term vision of enhancing education in Afghanistan. Additionally, 33% of the scholarships will be reserved for female students, acknowledging the crucial role of women in the progress and development of society.
This initiative is another testament to Pakistan’s continued efforts in supporting Afghanistan’s educational sector. It follows the success of past programs, including the 3,000 Allama Iqbal Scholarships awarded to Afghan students in previous years.
