Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Likely to Celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on the Same Day This Year

There is a strong possibility that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on the same day in both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia this year. According to astronomers, Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan is likely to fall on Monday, March 31, as the moon will be born on March 29.

Astronomer Faheem Hashmi informed the media that the moon may be visible in certain regions of the United States on March 29 using telescopes, but it will not be visible in Saudi Arabia. He further explained that the moon will be visible to the naked eye in various parts of the world on March 30, provided the sky is clear.

He added that since the moon is not expected to be visible in Saudi Arabia on March 29, there is a strong possibility that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia could celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on the same day.

In Pakistan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has called a meeting for March 30 to sight the moon. The final announcement regarding the sighting of the moon will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
