Islamabad: Pakistan and Germany have reached an agreement to initiate the second phase of the Billion Tree Project. Germany will provide €20 million for this purpose. Previously, Germany had already contributed €1.35 million for the first phase of the project.
According to a spokesperson, work is progressing rapidly in the first phase, which involves planting trees on 10,000 acres of land in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, an information management system will be established to effectively monitor the project’s environmental impacts.
