Pak-Turk collaboration series ‘Selahaddin Eyyubi’ gets a premiere date!
The much-anticipated historical series, Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi (Saladin: The Conquerer of Jerusalem) will be arriving on Turkey’s national TV channel TRT 1 on November 13.
Turkish actor Uğur Güneş, who is known for his impressive debut in TRT’s other famous historical series, Diriliş: Ertuğrul, in which he portrayed Tugtekin Bey, will be seen in the lead role of Sultan Selahaddin Eyyubi.
As reported, the filming of this series is being carried out on an expansive set that has been meticulously designed to replicate the ancient city of Damascus featuring recreations of mosques, bustling bazaars, grand palaces, and ancient homes.
The set is stretched out across a vast 200-acre area.

The series will plunge into the annals of Sultan Eyyubi’s life, the renowned commander’s heroic capture of Jerusalem during the Crusade, and the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty.
Adnan Siddiqui and the other producers unveiled the long-awaited teaser for the historical series, on their respective social media accounts.
Adnan Siddiqui unveiling the trailer on his Instagram maintained that “It’s important to revisit history from time to time. And so is to follow the path you believe in despite the many naysayers, despite all adversity.”
“Selahaddin Eyubbi, the legendary warrior, offers glorious lessons in courage, indomitable spirit, determination, justice, and generosity. The king whose name is etched in golden words, comes alive on your screen on November 13. Meanwhile, a glimpse for you,” Siddiqui shared.
