Outbreak of Animal Diseases in Osta Muhammad: Lack of Vaccination and Government Response Raises Concerns
Osta Muhammad:particularly in the Ganda Kha area, an outbreak of animal diseases has led to the death of numerous livestock, including buffaloes, cows, goats, and sheep. Local residents have expressed frustration over the lack of intervention from the Department of Animal Husbandry.
According to complaints from the community, the outbreak has resulted in daily deaths of livestock, yet no vaccines or treatments are being provided by the department. A significant issue is that when affected individuals seek assistance, they are often charged for government-provided vaccines and medicines, with officials claiming that no such supplies are available.
Adding to the crisis, the current rainy and flood conditions have exacerbated the situation. Despite these challenges, there has been no improvement in the availability of vaccines or medical support. Reports indicate that when approached for assistance, veterinarians demand additional payments, with claims that medicines must be purchased privately.
Residents are calling on the Chief Secretary to take immediate action to address the situation and ensure that proper vaccination and treatment measures are implemented to protect their livestock.
