Islamabad:In a comical oversight during the opening ceremony of Paris Olympics 2024, organizers raised the Olympics flag upside down, drawing severe criticism.
During the inauguration ceremony, the iconic white Olympics flag, adorned with five interlocked rings, was visibly upside down, with the arrangement of the five different colored rings appearing inverted. What should have been at the bottom was at the top, and vice versa.
It should be noted that the official Olympics symbol consists of three rings above and two below, whereas during the Paris Olympics inauguration, the flag was displayed with two rings above and three below.
Social media users have sharply criticized the organizers for this mistake during the prestigious event.
Recall that Paris Olympics officially began with a colorful inauguration ceremony on the famous River Seine, where ships from 205 nations arrived, illuminating the Paris Olympics torch.
