Islamabad:Opposition leader Omar Ayub has written a letter to the Judicial Commission, demanding the reconsideration of the appointment of judges.
According to the contents of the letter, it is emphasized that immediately after the Supreme Court’s rulings concerning specific seats, recommendations for the appointment of judges were proposed for Adhoc judges.
The text of the letter states that actions to equate the Supreme Court’s decision against a party should not be taken. The public must perceive an independent and impartial judiciary as the ultimate stakeholder.
It should be noted that the Judicial Commission of Pakistan has approved the appointment of retired Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and retired Justice Mazhar Alam Khan as Adhoc judges in the Supreme Court.
Under the leadership of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, the Judicial Commission convened yesterday, granting approval for the appointments of two nominees for a one-year term.
