Quetta:Khuzdar Press Club hosted a one-day awareness workshop organized by the non-governmental organization Tarqi Foundation in collaboration with the United Nations, aimed at empowering women through legal empowerment. The event was attended by a large number of male and female doctors, teachers, judicial police officers, social welfare officers, journalists, activists, and social workers.
Various theoretical and practical exercises were conducted during the workshop to enhance legal avenues for women’s rights and to facilitate mutual cooperation to address societal issues related to women. Participants discussed and deliberated on the implementation of various demands outlined in the provincial-level Women’s Prepared Charter of Demands prepared by Tarqi Foundation.
The workshop emphasized the responsibility of social workers to identify and practically address issues affecting women in their respective areas, stressing the need to learn effective communication methods to better reach authorities for legal advocacy. The importance of collaborative efforts and initiatives for the betterment and welfare of women in society was also highlighted.
