OGRA Increases LPG Prices for December, Domestic Cylinder Cost Rises by Rs. 132
Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for December. The price of a domestic LPG cylinder has risen by Rs. 132, making the new cost of an 11.8 kg cylinder Rs. 3,079. The revised price comes after a slight hike in the per-kilogram cost of LPG, which now stands at Rs. 254.30 for December.
According to the official notification issued by OGRA, the price for a domestic LPG cylinder for December is Rs. 3,079, a modest increase from the November price of Rs. 2,999.47. In November, the per-kilogram price of LPG had already been raised by Rs. 2.88, pushing the domestic cylinder cost up by Rs. 34.09 compared to the previous month.
This price hike follows a series of increases earlier this year, including a notable rise in October, when the price per kilogram of LPG was raised by Rs. 7.31, and the cost of a domestic cylinder surged by Rs. 86.28, reaching Rs. 2,965. The cost of LPG has been steadily climbing over the past few months, with significant price adjustments affecting households across the country.
The price increase comes as part of ongoing adjustments to LPG pricing in line with global market trends and domestic supply-demand factors.
