Lahore: Former actress Noor Bukhari has criticized celebrities who are celebrating picnics during Muharram, expressing her disappointment on Instagram stories without naming any specific actors.
Bukhari, known for her past roles in Pakistan’s showbiz industry, expressed regret upon seeing some enjoying vacations, others partying, while some are commemorating the sorrow of Karbala’s martyrs.
“It’s saddening to see some are picnicking, some are partying, while others are mourning the oppressed of Karbala,” she wrote.
She further emphasized that such simple actions clearly delineate who was with Yazid’s forces and who stood with Imam Hussain (RA).
The actress also urged her fans and fellow artists to respect the sanctity of Muharram.
