“No Jobs for Sale; Appointments Based on Merit Only, Declares Balochistan Chief Minister”
Quetta: Under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, a meeting was held to discuss reforms in the Department of Education and teacher appointments. The meeting was attended by Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hamid Khan Durrani, Chief Secretary of Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, and other relevant officials.
The decision was made to fill vacant teaching positions in order to reactivate closed schools. Teacher appointments will be made on a contract basis, with extensions based on performance. The meeting also resolved to establish effective legislation for the contract policy.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that, in accordance with judicial orders, the final announcement regarding the “SBK” test will be made. He asserted that no jobs will be sold, and appointments will strictly adhere to merit. The sale and purchase of jobs are intolerable practices, and a robust mechanism will be implemented to prevent such activities.
