No Afghan Citizen Allowed to Stay in Islamabad After December 31, Says Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that no Afghan citizen will be allowed to stay in Islamabad after December 31. He clarified that Afghan nationals wishing to reside in the capital will now need to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Speaking to the media, Naqvi also stated that following the recent PTI protests, Islamabad has been fully cleared and is now open for normal activities. Addressing rumors about casualties, the minister rejected the claims that bodies were lying in hospitals, urging critics to name anyone responsible for spreading such propaganda.
Naqvi further pointed out that the protesters, equipped with cameras, had shown respect during their withdrawal from the area. He emphasized that the situation had calmed down peacefully, and any footage of police firing should be presented if available. He also mentioned that he would brief the federal cabinet on the developments of the past four days.
