Nita Ambani Reveals Why the Family Lives on the 27th Floor of Their Mansion

Mumbai:The Ambani family, one of the wealthiest families in Asia, has always been in the spotlight due to their luxurious lifestyle and their grand residence. The family’s multi-story mansion, *Antilia*, is one of the most expensive private homes in the world, but there’s a curious question that has intrigued many: Why does the Ambani family live on only the 27th floor of this massive building?
Mukesh Ambani, the owner of Reliance Industries, and his family have an estimated net worth of $119.5 billion, and *Antilia* is a symbol of their affluence. This remarkable building, located in Mumbai’s Kamala Hills, has become famous not only for its immense value but also for the lavish lifestyle it represents.
In a recent interview, Nita Ambani, Mukesh Ambani’s wife, unveiled the reason behind the family’s decision to live on the 27th floor. She explained, “I wanted every room to have proper natural light and ventilation, which is why we chose to live on the upper floors.”
According to reports, the 27th floor of the mansion is a private area reserved for close family members. This is where Mukesh, Nita, their eldest son Akash Ambani, daughter-in-law Shlovi Mehta, and their grandchildren Prithvi Akash Ambani and Veda Akash Ambani reside. Nita and Mukesh’s younger son, Anant Ambani, and his wife Radhika Merchant also live with the family on this floor.
*Antilia* is not only one of the most expensive homes in the world but also one of the tallest private residences. Construction began in 2008 and was completed two years later, with the Ambani family moving into the building in 2010. The building stands at 568 feet tall, with a sprawling 400,000 square feet of space, and its construction cost around ₹15,000 crore.
The residence boasts various luxurious features, including dance and yoga studios, all maintained by more than 600 employees. It also has a beautiful garden, a snow room to protect from Mumbai’s humidity, and other high-end amenities reflecting the Ambani family’s extravagant lifestyle.
