New Gwadar International Airport to Resume Operations on January 20

Quetta,Balochistan:The New Gwadar International Airport will officially resume operations from January 20, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the region’s aviation sector. This announcement was made following the issuance of a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), informing all airlines that the airport will be operational for flights starting from that date.
The airport will initially be operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), which will commence flights to and from the newly operational airport. Furthermore, both domestic and international airlines have expressed interest in launching their services from the New Gwadar International Airport, anticipating a boost in regional connectivity and economic activity.
This development is expected to play a key role in facilitating travel and trade, further contributing to the growth of Gwadar as a commercial hub in the region. The resumption of operations is part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and accessibility to the port city.
