New Era of Agricultural Development Begins with SIIFC’s Collaboration Under CPEC

A new era of agricultural development has begun with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIIFC). Significant progress has been made in the agricultural sector under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), with the collaboration between China and Pakistan aimed at increasing cotton production through modern technology.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Institute of Cotton Research (ICR) of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Pakistan’s Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI). The two institutions will work together to enhance cotton production by using modern methods and focusing on the genetic improvement of cotton.

The establishment of the joint Cotton Technology Community between Pakistan and China, supported by SIIFC, marks a revolutionary step in the agricultural sector. Thanks to the combined efforts of ICR and AARI, an increase in cotton production is expected.

The introduction of China’s advanced agricultural technologies is set to improve Pakistan’s agricultural sector, particularly cotton production, and is anticipated to stimulate economic growth. AARI’s interest in promoting cotton technology with China is highly beneficial for the agricultural industry.

Through joint research, both countries aim to not only increase cotton production but also promote the cotton industry on a global scale. The assistance of China’s modern agricultural technologies is commendable and will play a crucial role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
