Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani Calls for Knowledge-Based Resistance in Balochistan

Quetta:Senior politician and former senator, Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani, has called for the people of Balochistan to initiate a knowledge-based resistance for the survival of future generations. He expressed concern that those who seek to maintain control over the national unity of Balochistan do not want its people to define their national principles and destiny based on knowledge and wisdom.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Raisani emphasized the importance of books and knowledge in shaping the future of Balochistan. He condemned the recent crackdown by local authorities and security forces on book fairs held across various districts of Balochistan, stating that such actions reflect an attempt to hinder the province’s people from determining their future through education.

Raisani urged the people of Balochistan to respond to this crackdown by organizing even more book fairs throughout the province, encouraging as many people as possible to connect with books and knowledge. He stressed that through books, the people can determine their national principles and future paths based on wisdom and education.

In response to a question, Raisani shared his own initiative to promote the love of books and education. He revealed that he started the book-loving movement from his own home by donating 20,000 books from his personal library to educational institutions and universities. This gesture sparked positive reactions from the public, and to date, he has donated 85,000 books, with plans to donate an additional 5,000 books soon.

Raisani also pointed out that the people of Balochistan have long been trapped in national crises, and many political parties have spent their time protesting and staging sit-ins. He emphasized the need for the people of Balochistan to start their journey on the foundation of knowledge and wisdom for the survival of future generations. He believes that the only way to overcome the crises is by connecting with knowledge and books, and through intellectual resistance, the people of Balochistan can rise above their challenges.
