Islamabad:Naveed Akram Cheema has been appointed as the new manager of the Pakistan cricket team. Known for his strict adherence to discipline and previous experience as a bureaucrat, Cheema’s reappointment is expected to be announced officially within the next couple of days.
Cheema previously served as the team manager during tours to Australia and New Zealand and has held the role in the past as well. His appointment comes after the removal of Wahab Riaz and Mansoor Rana, who were senior manager and manager respectively, following the team’s underperformance in the T20 World Cup.
