National Party’s Aslam Baloch Criticizes Federal Government’s Exploitation of Balochistan’s Resources

Quetta:The Provincial President of the National Party, Aslam Baloch, has strongly criticized the federal government, particularly the establishment, for exploiting Balochistan’s resources under the guise of insurgency. In a statement, he accused the federal authorities and their proxies of plundering the province’s wealth, claiming that they are profiting through the sale of jobs, widespread corruption in appointments and transfers, and misappropriating developmental budgets.

Baloch expressed grave concern over the growing trend of allocating Balochistan’s resources as if they belong to outsiders, with local land allotments being canceled and vast areas of mineral-rich land being granted to non-locals. He argued that such actions would further fuel unrest and turmoil in the region. “The Baloch people will never surrender their land and resources, as they have fought wars over them for centuries,” Baloch added.

He also pointed out the dire situation of the Baloch nation, describing it as being in the worst period of its history, with its coastal areas, resources, and national identity facing severe threats. He criticized the role of local brokers, fake assemblies, and state oppression in alienating Baloch youth from education, skills, and employment, forcing them into rebellion, only to be disappeared or left to die under mysterious circumstances.

Aslam Baloch warned that the people of Balochistan, both young and old, are fully aware of the state’s oppressive tactics. He cautioned that the reaction to these actions would be so intense that even the establishment, intoxicated by greed and power, would eventually open its eyes. He stressed that ignoring these issues through measures like Section 144 would not solve the problem and called for a change in mindset and attitude. He concluded by emphasizing that the only way forward for the Baloch nation is through national unity, urging all residents of Balochistan to come together in solidarity.
