National Party Secretary General Mir Kabeer Ahmed Mohammad Shehi Calls for Meaningful Dialogue to Resolve Balochistan’s Issues

Mir Kabeer Ahmed Mohammad Shehi**, the Central Secretary General of the **National Party**, has stated that the issue of **Balochistan** is a political matter that can only be resolved through meaningful dialogue. He emphasized that the use of force has been attempted multiple times in the past, but it has neither yielded positive results nor solved the issue. He pointed out that **General Pervez Musharraf’s** actions on **March 17, 2005**, when he set fire to **Dera Bugti**, have led to the escalation of tensions, and today, this violence has spread across all of Balochistan.
Shehi noted that the trust of the people in the **federal government** has eroded, and increasing frustration is felt throughout the province. He further mentioned that the upcoming **2024 elections**, where real political representatives are sidelined and replaced by individuals who come to power through wealth and force, has further contributed to the widening gap between the government and the people.
Mir Kabeer warned that if the state chooses to resort to the use of force again instead of initiating sincere and meaningful negotiations, it could lead to a humanitarian crisis. He highlighted that the people are already struggling with poverty, and the closure of border trade has made millions economically vulnerable, leaving them without any livelihood options.
He also criticized the **so-called democratic government**, stating that under its rule, **human rights violations**, **political instability**, and **unemployment** have only worsened in Balochistan. The people of the province continue to suffer as these issues intensify without any substantial efforts toward their resolution.
