National Party Leader Condemns Bulldozing of Guest House in Gwadar

Quetta:Senator Jan Mohammad Baledi, a leader of the National Party, has strongly condemned the attack on the guest house of Abdul Ghafoor Hot, President of the National Party Gwadar, by the Balochistan government and Gwadar administration. According to Baledi, the attack, which involved heavy machinery, resulted in the bulldozing of the guest house, and such actions must be condemned in the strongest terms.
Senator Baledi further stated that the short-sightedness of the Gwadar administration and the provincial government had reached new heights. He emphasized that the ongoing protest in Gwadar demands the removal of illegal restrictions on border trade, the granting of free trade rights to the people of Gwadar, and the elimination of unnecessary check posts that are involved in extortion. Additionally, the protest calls for an end to the destruction of marine life in the Baloch Sea, which is being caused by the illegal fishing practices and trawler mafia, with the complicity of the provincial Fisheries Department. Baledi argued that these measures were essential to allow the fishermen of Gwadar to sustain themselves and provide for their families.
He asserted that political struggles cannot be stopped through negative tactics, and that the government’s illegal and anti-people actions will only strengthen the resolve of the National Party leadership. Baledi concluded by announcing that he would raise the issue of recent state-backed violence in Gwadar in the Senate and expose the government’s anti-people policies to the world.
