National Party Holds Tribute Event in Memory of Martyr Dr. Shafi Bizenjo

Quetta:A condolence reference in memory of martyr Dr. Shafi Bizenjo was organized by the National Party on December 15 at the Quetta Press Club. The event saw a large gathering, including the central and provincial leaders of the National Party and Baloch Students Organization (BSO-Pajjar), as well as numerous party workers.

The condolence reference featured speeches from several prominent party leaders, including Dr. Ishaq Baloch (Central Vice President of the National Party), Chingiz Hai Baloch (Provincial General Secretary), MPA Khair Jan Baloch, BSO-Pajjar’s Senior Vice Chairman Babul Jan Baloch, and many others. The speakers paid tribute to Dr. Shafi Bizenjo, describing him as a great martyr of the century who sacrificed his life in service to humanity, especially for the impoverished people of the Jhao and Awaran regions of Balochistan.

The leaders emphasized that Dr. Shafi Bizenjo, after obtaining his medical degree, dedicated his entire life to serving the healthcare needs of the underprivileged people in these areas. His commitment to serving the Baloch people, as well as other oppressed communities, remained unwavering. They pointed out that despite his immense service, the perpetrators of his unjust killing have not been able to bear the weight of his blood.

The National Party leaders remarked that Dr. Shafi Bizenjo always rejected offers of comfort and luxury, choosing instead to stay in Awaran to provide healthcare to the suffering local population. They recalled his words, “I cannot leave my city because my profession and humanity do not allow me to abandon the people in need.”

The speakers also discussed the broader impact of Dr. Shafi’s murder on the collective consciousness of Balochistan’s people, especially considering the region’s history of oppression and the unjust killings of its political and social leaders. The killing of Dr. Shafi Bizenjo was seen not just as an attack on an individual but as an attack on the very principles of non-violence and humanitarianism that he stood for.

The National Party reaffirmed its commitment to the philosophy of non-violence, inherited from their political ancestors, particularly Mir Ghous Bakhsh Bizenjo. The leaders stated that despite the challenges, the party would never abandon its commitment to peaceful political struggle. “We may lose our lives, but we will never compromise on our principle of non-violence,” they affirmed.

The condolence reference was conducted by District General Secretary Riyaz Ahmed Zehri, who also paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Shafi Bizenjo. The event was attended by a large number of National Party and BSO-Pajjar members, including figures like Mir Abdul Khaliq Baloch, Haji Niaz Baloch, Dr. Ramzan Hazara, Haji Muhammad Farooq Shahwani, Jaleel Ahmed Advocate, Obaid Lashari, Meidam Salma, Anil Ghori, Saira Batool, Malik Manzoor Shahwani, Malik Munawar Pani Zai, Naeem Bangulzai, Mir Inayat Buzdar, Yar Jan Bizenjo, Shakir Baloch, and other individuals from various walks of life.
