Quetta:The spokesperson of the National Party has strongly criticized the government coalition’s consideration to impose restrictions on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), likening it to authoritarian tendencies. Referring to past bans imposed on the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the spokesperson emphasized that such actions had intensified national condemnation and led to the birth of insurgencies.
Labeling the imposition of restrictions on political parties as authoritarian, the National Party declared its firm opposition, asserting that it never supports such positions. They urged ruling parties to prioritize strengthening political parties for democratic stability rather than adopting authoritarian measures. The statement underscored the importance of respecting political parties to enhance democracy, urging all stakeholders to play their roles responsibly in upholding democratic values.
