National Party Condemns Forced Disappearances and Violation of Citizens’ Rights in Balochistan

Quetta:The Central Social Media Secretary of the National Party, Saad Dehwar, has strongly condemned the violation of citizens’ rights, including the forced disappearances of political activists and the violation of privacy in areas such as Qambrani and Saryab, Balochistan. In a statement, Dehwar termed the forced disappearances of dozens of political workers as a clear violation of basic human and constitutional rights under the guise of collective punishment.

He pointed out that recently, more than 35 young individuals, including Bilal Bangalzai, Fazal Rehman, Zia Rehman Qambrani, Javed, Ali Asghar, and others from Quetta’s Western Bypass and Saryab, and Ashfaq Dehwar from Kalat, were forcibly abducted from different regions of Balochistan. He emphasized that these actions appear to be part of a negative strategy by state institutions to suppress collective consciousness in the province. He further noted that the families of the missing persons, along with every conscious segment of society, are now raising their voices in protest against these acts.

Dehwar expressed concern that such negative actions are pushing the situation in Balochistan towards an increasingly critical state. The National Party has consistently maintained the stance that the only solution to Balochistan’s issues is through political dialogue and negotiations, and that the use of force only complicates and exacerbates these problems.

He called for the immediate release of all missing persons and demanded the cessation of unconstitutional and illegal policies regarding forced disappearances. If any individuals are guilty of crimes, he urged that they be presented before the courts rather than subjected to unlawful detention.
