National Party Announces Support for Grand Alliance of 42 Unions in Balochistan

Quetta:National Party’s central labor secretary and workers’ leader, Dad Muhammad Baloch, has announced his party’s full support for the Grand Alliance of 42 unions and associations in Balochistan. He stated that the National Party has always represented workers, employees, and marginalized groups, fighting for their rights and resolving their issues. The purpose of the Grand Alliance, he explained, is to effectively voice concerns against government policies, including pension cuts, gratuity deductions, privatization of departments, contract-based recruitment, and policies detrimental to employees.

Baloch emphasized that the National Party will fully cooperate with the alliance to address these challenges and will raise its voice on every forum, including Parliament, against the government’s harmful policies affecting workers and employees.

In his statement, Baloch criticized the federal government’s treatment of Balochistan’s workers, stating that the province, despite its vast natural resources, continues to face neglect, leading to widespread poverty and unemployment. He pointed out that the province, which covers half of Pakistan’s area, has the lowest population but is rich in natural resources and minerals. However, successive governments have failed to use these resources to improve the lives of the people of Balochistan, with policies that leave citizens unemployed rather than creating opportunities for them.

Baloch further criticized the lack of attention to improving key sectors like agriculture, trade, and public employment, which are the primary sources of livelihood for the people of Balochistan. The National Party leader emphasized the need for policies that promote industrialization and job creation, rather than continued exploitation of the province’s resources without any significant benefit to its people.

He reaffirmed his party’s commitment to the Grand Alliance’s cause, stating that the National Party will continue to fight for the rights of poor employees and marginalized communities, and will stand alongside them in their struggle for justice and equitable policies.
