NADRA Director General Zulfiqar Ahmad Dismissed After Fake Degree Confirmed
Islamabad: The Director General of NADRA’s Sargodha Region, Zulfiqar Ahmad, has been dismissed from his position after it was confirmed that he held a fake degree. According to Express News, an investigation revealed discrepancies in his educational qualifications.
Ahmad’s MBA degree had been signed by the president of George Mason University at the time when he was not holding that position. Additionally, the name of the college listed on his BBA degree was found to be incorrect, as it did not match the name of the institution at the time the degree was issued.
Following NADRA’s request, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) conducted an inquiry and verified the information provided by NADRA. The Islamabad High Court upheld the HEC’s decision to annul the equivalency of his degrees.
In response to NADRA’s show-cause notice, Zulfiqar Ahmad failed to provide a satisfactory explanation. As a result, the Chairman of NADRA initiated disciplinary action against him based on the court’s ruling and his unsatisfactory reply to the notice.
