Rawalpindi: After conducting a thorough four-hour search, a team from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) departed from Adiala Jail following investigations into new references related to Toshakhana. According to sources within the jail, the NAB team probed into allegations concerning the hospitality and sale of items from Toshakhana. The investigation team, led by Deputy Director Mohsin Haroon, spent over four hours questioning Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
Sources also revealed that questions were raised regarding the undervaluation of Bulgarian gifts, misuse of authorities, and the illegal sale of government assets. The suspects were also questioned about violations related to the Toshakhana procedures of 2018.
On July 13, the NAB team had initially arrested PTI leader Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Toshakhana, with the court approving an eight-day physical remand on July 14. The court has directed NAB to conduct investigations into Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s involvement in the new Toshakhana reference while they remain in jail.
