Mysterious QR Codes Found on Graves in Germany

In various German cities, over a thousand graves have been found with mysterious QR codes, leading to an investigation by local police. These QR codes were discovered on graves in the cemeteries of Waldfriedhof, Sandlinger Friedhof, and Friedhof Solingen in southern Germany.
The QR codes were found on stickers measuring 5 by 3.55 centimeters, and due to the high costs of removing them, cemetery officials requested assistance from the police. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the QR codes had been placed by a local gardening company responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the graves.
Alfred Zenker, a senior manager at the company, explained that the stickers were used to inform employees which graves had undergone cleaning and maintenance. He stated, “We are a large company, and our work needs to be organized.”
According to German newspapers, the grave maintenance process is quite complex, involving the removal of stones, cleaning the stains, and then reinstalling them. Police estimate that the cemeteries have incurred a loss of around 500,000 euros (approximately 45 million Pakistani rupees) due to this incident.
