MWM Chief Raja Nasir Abbas Criticizes KP CM Over Kurram Issue and Slams Governance in Pakistan

Islamabad:The leader of the *Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen* (MWM), Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, has strongly criticized the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Mahmood Khan, for mishandling the Kurram issue, accusing him of prioritizing power over the well-being of the people. In a joint press conference with Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas stated that the Kurram issue could have been resolved within a week if an efficient Deputy Commissioner (DC) or officer had been in place, which could have prevented the loss of lives.

“All Ali Amin Gandapur did was put us in a difficult position over the Kurram issue. They only care about staying in power,” Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said, expressing his frustration. He further emphasized that the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the current leadership had led to widespread disappointment, and the chief minister was unaware of the damage his actions were causing to the struggles for freedom and justice.

Criticizing the state of governance in the country, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas remarked that Pakistan was facing a crisis due to its failure to adhere to the constitution. “The judiciary’s power has been eroded according to the provisions of the Pakistani constitution. Our forefathers’ vision for the constitution has been destroyed, and the country is being run on an ad-hoc basis,” he added.

He also expressed his concerns about the independence of the judiciary, saying, “Pakistan’s judiciary has been brought under the influence of the executive. Every passing day under this government exacerbates the crisis, and by imposing incompetent individuals, Pakistan is being driven toward destruction.”

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas concluded by reiterating that the mismanagement by the ruling government was detrimental to the nation’s future and was pushing the country into deeper turmoil.
