Mustafa Amir Murder Case: Accused Armagan Presented in Anti-Terrorism Court, Father’s Request for Meeting Denied

In the Mustafa Amir murder case, the accused, Armagan, was brought before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi after the completion of his physical remand. He was expected to be presented in court shortly thereafter.

Journalists were denied entry into the ATC complex, with security officials stating that they were not permitted to enter due to instructions from senior officers. Armagan’s father was also stopped from entering the courtroom. In response, he submitted a written request to the court, asking for permission to meet his son.

In the request, Armagan’s father emphasized that the meeting was necessary to discuss the change of his lawyer. He called the denial of access a violation of fundamental human rights and urged the court to allow him to meet his son to ensure a fair trial.
