Murder Case of Young Maid in Sindh: Mother Settles with Accused, Court Postpones Hearing

In the tragic case of the young maid, Fatima, who was murdered in the Pir Asad Shah’s residence in the Rani Pur area of Sindh’s Khairpur district, the victim’s mother has reached a settlement with the accused.
The lawyer submitted a written statement to the court on behalf of the plaintiff, Fatima’s mother, requesting the release of the accused on bail and the termination of the case. The Fourth Additional Sessions Judge, after receiving the written statement, adjourned the hearing of the case until February 17.
Previously, the Anti-Terrorism Court had transferred the case to the Khairpur Sessions Court.
It is worth noting that in August 2023, a viral video emerged showing the brutal murder of young Fatima at the residence of Pir Asad Shah. This prompted authorities to file a case and arrest the accused. Subsequent medical reports confirmed that Fatima had been subjected to both sexual assault and torture before her death.
As of now, the accused—Pir Asad Shah, Hina Shah, Fayaz Shah, and Imtiaz Shah—remain behind bars as the investigation continues.
