Mumbai: Software Engineer Dies of Heart Attack While Playing Cricket

Mumbai:A 31-year-old software engineer, *Vikram Ashok Deshmukh*, tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack while playing cricket at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. According to *NDTV*, Deshmukh, who worked at an IT company, was a regular at the Azad Maidan cricket ground.

On Sunday, Deshmukh was playing a practice match, where his team was chasing a target of 159 runs in 25 overs. During the 10th over, he began experiencing chest pain but continued to play and managed to keep his team in the game, playing for another six overs.

In the 17th over, while running to take a quick single, he suddenly collapsed on the ground. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The police have registered an accidental death report and initiated an investigation into the incident. This shocking event has left the local cricket community in mourning.
