Islamabad:Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has commented on the decision to impose restrictions on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stating that the responsibility for the country’s current situation rests solely with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
A spokesperson for MQM stated that they have deep concerns over the current political situation in the country, attributing the responsibility for the non-democratic and rigid policies in the current situation to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
It should be noted that besides imposing restrictions on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the government has also decided to take action under Article 6 against former President Arif Alvi, Imran Khan, and Qasim Suri.
Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, addressing a press conference in Islamabad, said, “There has been a lot of chaos in the country. Now we want to say that ‘enough is enough’. We want to take this country forward and for that, we believe that if we have to take this country forward, then Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan cannot go together.”
On the other hand, while other political parties are opposing the decision to impose restrictions on PTI, voices of dissent have also started to emerge from within Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
