MQM Pakistan Gets Major Relief in National and Provincial Assembly Seats
Karachi: The Election Tribunal has granted a significant relief to MQM Pakistan by rejecting the election petitions against Dr. Farooq Sattar and Adil Askari. The tribunal dismissed the election objections filed against Dr. Farooq Sattar, the successful MQM candidate from NA-244, and Adil Askari, the victorious candidate from PS-125.
The Election Tribunal ruled on Dr. Farooq Sattar’s objections, stating that the election petition against him was rejected on technical grounds. PTI leader Aftab Jahangir had challenged Farooq Sattar’s victory, accusing him of election rigging and manipulation of results.
Similarly, the tribunal also dismissed the election petition against Adil Askari, the MQM candidate who won from PS-125, which had been filed by PTI-backed Fozia Sidiqi. This ruling further solidifies MQM Pakistan’s position in the National and Provincial Assemblies.
