MQM Demands End to Political Interference in Sindh’s Universities
Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has supported the demands of the Karachi University Teachers Association and the Federation of All Pakistan Academic Staff Associations (FAPASA), calling for an end to political interference in Sindh’s universities.
In a statement, MQM’s spokesperson urged the Sindh government to stop using universities as tools for political influence, likening the situation to its control over local government institutions.
The MQM also called on the Sindh Chief Minister and the provincial cabinet to develop a clear policy to ensure the autonomy of universities in the region.
