Motorway M-1 at Peshawar Toll Plaza Reopened as PTI Workers Arrive for Protest

Islamabad:The M-1 motorway at Peshawar Toll Plaza, which had been completely shut down for all types of traffic, has been unexpectedly reopened by the police. Following the reopening, PTI workers have started arriving at the Peshawar Toll Plaza in anticipation of the planned protest.

Earlier, the motorway had been closed by the motorway police due to heavy fog, with authorities citing reduced visibility as the reason for the closure. The police had assured that the motorway would be reopened once the fog cleared and conditions improved for safe travel.

The development comes on the same day that PTI, under the leadership of Imran Khan, is holding a protest rally aimed at Islamabad. As a result, life in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi has been significantly disrupted. Key roads, public transport services, and the Faiz Interchange have been blocked, while law enforcement agencies remain on high alert to deal with any potential disturbances during the protest.
