Motorway Accident: One Crore Rupees Found in Deceased’s Car Returned to Family
Lahore: In a remarkable display of honesty, the motorway police have returned one crore rupees found in the car of two individuals who tragically lost their lives in an accident on the M-3 motorway.
The incident occurred when a car traveling from Lahore to Multan suffered a tire burst, leading to the fatal accident. Upon receiving the report, the motorway police promptly rushed to the scene and transported the severely injured to the hospital. During a search of the vehicle, police discovered one crore rupees in cash, along with mobile phones.
Sadly, the two victims succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. Following the incident, under the guidance of Sector Commander Shahbaz Alam, the police contacted the families of the deceased. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hamid Ullah Niazi, under the supervision of DIG Syed Fareed Ali, personally oversaw the return of the cash and other valuable items to the victims’ relatives.
Additional IG Ali Ahmed Sabir Khiani praised the officers for their honesty and commitment to duty in handling the situation.
