Quetta:Under the chairmanship of Balochistan’s Minister of Interior, Mir Ziaullah Langove, a significant meeting was convened in Gwadar regarding security and protests. The meeting included Deputy Commissioner Hamoodul Rahman, DIG Makran Range Dr. Farhan Zahid, and other officials. IG Nasirabad Range Ayaz Baloch, DC Gwadar Sarbuland Khosa, and AC Gwadar Jawad Zahri were also in attendance.
A detailed briefing was provided during the meeting about the overall situation in Gwadar. It was explained that some elements were attempting to sabotage peace and security, leading to the arrest of more than 20 individuals during the operation. Minister of Interior Mir Zia Langove stated that all protesters in Gwadar have dispersed, and the situation is now under control. He commended all agencies for effectively managing the situation and expressed resolve against elements seeking to disturb Gwadar’s peace.
It was emphasized that according to the Constitution of Pakistan, readiness for dialogue is paramount, but there can be no compromise on national security. Balochistan’s tribal traditions uphold respect and dignity for women, and an appeal was made to all protesters to maintain these values during demonstrations.
Furthermore, it was reiterated that no action challenging state authority during protests, damaging government property, or causing inconvenience to the public will be tolerated.
