Brasilia: A Brazilian model has claimed that she was excluded from a Christmas dinner party by her friends because they believed she was “too beautiful.” Marina Smith, a former Miss BumBum winner from São Paulo, stated that her “insecure” and “jealous” friends were worried she would steal their husbands or boyfriends.
The 34-year-old model shared that she was told she would not be welcome at the festive gathering because her friends feared her beauty would attract their male partners. According to Marina, one of her friend’s boyfriends informed her that a WhatsApp group had been created, excluding her from the conversation. The group chat was reportedly filled with concerns about her presence at the event.
Marina, who has previously won the Miss BumBum title, insisted that she has never flirted with her friends’ husbands. She said, “My friends’ insecurity about my looks and single status is now a barrier for me in social situations. But now, being beautiful and single has become even more of a problem for them.”
The model further explained that her single status has already caused tension with her friends, who prefer spending time with their partners. She believes this jealousy has cost her the “best friend” she once had.
Marina’s comments highlight how her appearance and relationship status have caused friction in her friendships, leading to a fallout over something she feels was entirely unfounded.
