Lahore: The Punjab government has decided not to completely suspend mobile services on the 9th and 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram. The decision aims to maintain peace and security by restricting mobile services in specific areas designated for processions and gatherings. Mobile services will be partially suspended from 8 AM to 10 PM in most districts. However, cities like Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Khushab, Sialkot, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal will continue to have uninterrupted services.
In Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Vehari, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara, and Chiniot, mobile services will remain operational. Partial suspensions will occur in Faisalabad, Bahawalnagar, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Narowal, Toba Tek Singh, Bhakkar, Mandi Bahauddin, Vehari, and Rajanpur. In Rawalpindi, 28 locations will see restrictions, while 15 in Rahim Yar Khan, 11 in Mianwali and Bahawalpur, 10 in Layyah, 7 in Muzaffargarh, and 6 in Nankana Sahib will have limited mobile services.
