Mir Tahir Bizenjo Emphasizes the Role of History and Tribal Structure in Nation-Building

Quetta:National Party central leader and former senator Mir Tahir Bizenjo, in a recent video message, shared his views on the process of nation-building, stating that the formation of nations is not an overnight occurrence but a result of a long historical process. He emphasized that nations are not formed at the whim or desire of individuals; instead, they are shaped by history, geography, language, culture, and traditions.

Mir Tahir Bizenjo highlighted that each nation has its own distinct temperament and psychology. Some nations possess a strong sense of nationalism, while others have a more fragile sense of collective identity. He pointed out that nationalism has played a crucial role in breaking down colonial systems and has been a significant force in the struggle for independence.

Bizenjo further elaborated that nations are often formed through the merging of tribes. However, he noted that the Baloch and Pashtun communities are still undergoing this phase of nation-building. The biggest obstacle in their national formation, he explained, is their tribal system, which divides them into smaller factions, often leading to internal disputes and conflicts.

He acknowledged that centuries-old tribal ties and traditions cannot be eradicated overnight. However, he expressed optimism that with growing historical and national awareness, these communities are gradually moving toward a more unified national structure. Drawing from historical experience, he stated that when tribes merge into a larger national framework, the possibilities for political and ideological unity significantly increase.

In conclusion, Mir Tahir Bizenjo stated that both the Baloch and Pashtun nations are in the process of mental and social evolution, and with time, they will continue to progress towards a more cohesive and unified national identity.
