Minor Increase in US Dollar Value Against Pakistani Rupee
In the exchange market, the value of the US dollar has seen a slight increase against the Pakistani rupee. On the first business day of the week, the interbank market reported a 5-paisa rise in the value of the dollar, bringing it to 278.60 rupees. This marks a small uptick from the previous week’s closing rate of 278.55 rupees, as announced by the central bank.
In contrast, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) entered the negative zone on the first day of the trading week. At the start of trading, the PSX experienced fluctuations, with the 100 Index falling by 300 points to trade at 78,266 points.
